Back in the good ole CAD CAM CAE software days, whenever someone would mention a new technology at a cocktail party or casual situations, we’d say something like, “oh, it’s one of those TLA’s”.. or .. ”Well, at least it’s TLA compliant”.
 
Half the people would just let the comment roll past them, but the other half would ponder it for several seconds before replying, “TLA? What’s a TLA?”. To which we’d shoot back in deadpan straightface.. “oh, it stands for Three Letter Acronymn”.
 
It seems that ever week there’s new TLA’s or FLA’s on the scene in the wonderful world of webdev further illustrating the laws of entropy.
