New Business Ideas
September 17th, 2007Here are 3 solid ideas according to Entreprenuer Magazine for start up businesses:
1) Rent Motorcycles at vacation destinations. This is a cool idea if you are into motorcycles, I guess it would work also for scooters. And taking it to the next level, maybe a line up of all vintage italian scooters like Lambrettas and Vespas. I think the biggest obstacle to this business is insurance/liabilities.. especially in the United States of Attorneys. Another downside is the maintainence, you either have to be a mechanic or have one on hand full time.
2) Peanut Butter Sandwhich Franchise Shop. I don’t think the brand PB Loco Cafe has been built up enough to justify buying into the franchise. If I were to do this, I’d just make my own brand and franchise it. At first, it sounds like the idea would never fly, but then, just imagine this sandwhich… “The HotShot”. It consists of sun dried tomatoes, peanut butter, jalapenos, potato chips, cheddar cheese, bacon and mayonnaise. Now that’s the kind of sando that’s going to leave and impression and get repeat customers.
3) Tech Friendly Cleaning. The old mop and bucket doesn’t do the job for todays IT centers. Cleaning services need to be well trained in how to clean high tech appliances and use special chemicals. There’s certainly opportunity here.
