Challengehost Sucks

Beware of Challengehost. My intent isn’t to bash them, my intent is to inform webmasters who are seeking to host with this “company” or any of their network of affiliate company’s to beware… be very aware.
After countless round-abouts “customer service” just trying to get through to Challengehost and have someone reply to an email or answer a phone, I came to conclude there isn’t really a challengehost.
So I looked up the DNS entry of my server with them.
http://whois.domaintools.com/rapidns.com
I come to find the server of my websites with Challengehost is really being hosted by:
http://www.web-werks.com/contact.shtml
http://www.web-werks.com/our_team.shtml
So I call web-werks and get an uncanny similar run-around “customer service” that I used to get with Challengehost years earlier… hack children with strong Indian accents.
Finally, one of the kids informs me that challengehost is a “reseller” of web-werks, and that my issue of my server being down for 10 days and unable to reach the good folks at Challengehost is actually not web-werks problem.
But since the folks at “Web-werks” are the good-guys, they’ll go ahead and contact Challengehost on my behalf to inform them of my situation. How nice of you “Web-werks”.
Interesting how many cookie-cutter other web hosts there are out there with such a similar website design as Challengehost.. and wow, they are also “resellers” for Web-Werks… startling coincidence.
I’d suggest if you are considering Challengehost or ANY of these “reseller companies” above, to do yourself a favor first and read through all the pages of this thread:
