Yonja.com raises $12.5m

Turkish social network Yonja has raised $12.5M in Series A funding from Greywolf Capital Partners and Tiger Global Management.
 
Yonja claims a billion page views per month and nearly 5 million members. Funded for $2.50 USD per registered member.

Tripr.tv gets $4.8m

Tripr.tv, a videoguide for hotels landed $4.8 million in funding. Tripr.tv is different from triptv.com and trivop.com in that they rely on non-professional consumer generated content rather than professional recorded video.

Widgetbox.com scores $8m in second round

Ebuddy.com gets $9m in funding

Ebuddy.com, the web chat application similar to Meebo.com raised $9m usd in a series B funding lead by Prime Technology Ventures. Ebuddy had previously raised $7.5m in first round funding.
 
Ebuddy had 4.5m unique visitors in Dec 2007 while Meebo had 4.7m. Ebuddy has 60m users.

Slide.com gets $50m in 4th round VC funding

Rumor is that Slide.com CEO was seeking a $200m valuation but got a bidding war started up that put it at a valuation of $550m by Fidelity Investments and T. Rowe Price
Slide.com is a widget company with 150m or so users but no revenue stream. They are transitioning into starting to focus on selling ads.
